Here is my life (all that I care to write) up to this point:
1. School ended. Finals ended.
2. Dimple graduated. What this means: No Indian food after church, No random visits, No random sleep overs . Who else is going to dance with me to the Cure, Michael and our all time favorite - Shakira!?!?! Man, just when I mastered belly dancing. Stupid, graduating, Dimpo. Fue una tortura perderte.
3. Dimple moved out. This is in here b/c I have never seen so many clothes, clothes hangars, random pieces of paper, and exotic forms of fungi before in my life! That poor apartment.
4. Finally went to get BoBo's chicken as Dimple's final wish of OKC. The girl love fried chicken - what can I say.
5. Work started. One day after work me and two other clerks went to get drinks and we end up seeing some partners from the firm. The attorney was talking to me and another clerk and asks and where her southern accent is from (Arkansas) and where I'm originally from. He says, "See, that's what the problem is. People tend to hide what they really are. If you're from Arkansas, talk like you're from Arkansas. If you're from India, talk like you're from India. Don't talk like you're from NY or anything."
What the pho man! Haha, and I'm thinking - I'm the girl that says "vipers" instead of "wipers" and "ValMart" instead of "WalMart". There's no faking here!! Jack ass.
6. Went to Turner Falls, finally. What I learned from that experience: I hate being outside on a hot day. What is hot? Above 74 degrees. Screw that! While people are exploring all around the area, I'm standing there thinking that ice cream would make this worth while. Haha! I also was quite interested in the guy next to me using the telescope to look at the bikini-clad women below us. And then of course, I had to look too! (For the scenery of course.) The waterfall was really cool.
7. Went to karaoke with an attorney and the rest of the clerks. She made us sing "Creep" by TLC. It was me and two other clerks - one of which sang like it was the story of his life. So much passion in one little white man. Karaoke is not that fun - well not in public anyway. What's fun is singing along to a song and taping yourself on the computer and listening to it repeatedly, and then blaming me for her being out of tune. Ha! (Add this to another thing I'll miss about Dimpo.)
So, basically this is what I've been up to. In more detail that I thought I would go into. I've been at work for about 2 weeks now and wear heels EVERY single day. My feet looks and feels like someone bludgeoned it. I'm going now. |
